A Legacy of Excellence and Passion

Established in 1982, the Canberra Raiders, boast a rich history that includes three premiership wins, six Grand Final appearances along with a host of iconic Players and Coaches.  Notable Club Representatives include, but are not limited to, Mal Meninga (NRL Immortal), NRL Hall of Famers Laurie Daley, Ricky Stuart, Bradley Clyde, Steve Walters, Glenn Lazarus, Ruben Wiki and Wayne Bennett, Club Game Record Holder Jason Croker, All-Time Leading Club Point Scorer and Try Scorer Jarrod Croker and master coaches Tim Sheens and Craig Bellamy.

Today the Raiders continue to capture the hearts of rugby league fans nationwide. An avid fan base of approximately 85,000 people across the Australian Capital Territory and more than 250,000 domestically, unite through the ‘Viking Clap’ each season.

The Club is known for their “country” identity, strong sense of community and local connection, and they proudly compete in both the NRL and NRLW (Women’s) rugby league competitions.

    Driving Fan Engagement with Data

By partnering with Data Talks, the Raiders are set to bring all their fan data into one centralised system. This will allow them to gain better insights into their supporters and understand their preferences more clearly. With this valuable data, the Raiders can streamline their communication, moving away from manual processes to more efficient, automated reporting. They’ll be able to send targeted, personalised messages to fans, ensuring that every communication is relevant and engaging. This approach will help the Raiders connect with their audience in a more meaningful way, driving better engagement and creating stronger fan loyalty.

“Partnering with the Canberra Raiders is an honour,” said Sebastian Scaparro, Data Talks’ Country Director Australia. “This club has such a proud history and a deeply loyal fan base, and we’re excited to support their efforts to connect with their supporters in even more meaningful ways. Together, we’re committed to helping the Raiders grow their fan base and provide unforgettable experiences for their supporters, whether they’re cheering from the stands or engaging from afar.”

Through this collaboration, the Raiders are poised to create stronger fan loyalty, enhance their operational efficiency, and unlock new revenue opportunities. With the support of Data Talks, the club is embracing the power of data to write the next chapter of its legacy—one that celebrates its heritage while paving the way for a vibrant future.
